The Montana Board of Regents met in Helena on Thursday, but due to inclement weather and bad roads throughout the state, some regents were not able to attend.

She heeded the call when UM President Royce Engstrom was asked to step down, and now interim UM President Sheila Stearns is ready to hand over the keys to the president’s office to the new man, Seth Bodnar.

Wednesday evening, former Commissioner of Higher Education Sheila Stearns received a most unexpected call from current Commissioner Clayton Christian asking her to be the interim President of the University of Montana.
