Accused killer Kevin Lino has been returned to Missoula to face charges of deliberate homicide in the death of a transient whose body was recovered from the Clark Fork River.

Missoula County Sheriff's Office Public Information Officer Paige Pavalone on Wednesday clarified the situation regarding the extradition of accused killer Kevin Lino, currently in Louisiana, fighting his return to Missoula.

A local transient, identified in court documents as John Mulligan, appeared in Missoula Justice Court on Monday, charged with stabbing a Missoula man on the Reserve Street Bridge over the weekend.

Missoula police were called to investigate an assault that allegedly occurred at about 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 17, near the Reserve Street bridge.
