University of Montana faculty members Jingjing Sun and Allison Wilson from the Phyllis J. Washington College of Education have worked extensively in the field of child development and have kept close watch on the events of the past year.

Thanks to a $1 million grant, the UM Safe Schools Center will lead a statewide effort to improve school safety.

Recently, the Phyllis J. Washington College of Education and Human Sciences at the University of Montana received its highest national accreditation review since 1954, when it became a founding member of the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).
