On Thursday, it was announced that Blackfeet tribal community leader Elouise Cobell will be posthumously awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom at a White House ceremony on November 22.

As of this week, University of Montana President Royce Engstrom will make the decisions as to where and when alcohol will be served at the Payne Family Native American Center on campus.

The President of the Mountain Water Company continued his resistance to a municipal takeover of the utility at a city council meeting this week.

The University of Montana officially opened the Eloise Cobell Land and Culture Institute on Friday afternoon. The institute is located within the Payne Family Native American Center, just off the UM oval.

University of Montana President Royce Engstrom announced Wednesday afternoon the creation of the Eloise Cobell Land and Culture Institute within the Payne Family Native American Center on the UM campus.
