No 4th of July Fireworks show at Southgate Mall this year

The Missoula Osprey, headed to the Pioneer League playoffs by virtue of winning the first half of their season, have decided to cancel their fireworks show on Friday due to the wildfires in the area.

The Pioneer League Missoula Osprey start their season on the road in Helena on June 16, then inside Ogren Park at Allegiance Field in Missoula on June 19.

The Missoula Osprey are having their opening day ceremonies Thursday, June 20 at Ogren Park at Allegiance Field. Osprey officials will be displaying  a giant American flag during the national anthem, and need volunteers to hold the flag.

The Missoula Osprey have their home opener Thursday. Andy English of the Montana Air National Guard has made arrangements for a large American flag to be part of the opening ceremonies. But he needs our help. It will take 55 people to hold the flag during the ceremonies and he's looking for volunteers...

The Missoula Osprey beat the Ogden Raptors going away last Friday night on the road in Utah by a score of 10 to nothing to win their third Pioneer League championship.

The Missoula Osprey scored five runs in the top of the first inning, and four pitchers combined on a five-hit shutout in a 10-0 win over the Ogden Raptors that gave the Osprey their first Pioneer League title since the 2006 season, winning the Best-of-3 series, 2-1.
