A wildland firefighter assigned to the Granite Pass Complex was found safely just after midnight on Monday morning, according to Missoula County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Jeannette Smith.

At approximately 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, the Missoula County Sheriff’s Office was notified by Montana Aeronautics of a downed aircraft southwest of Missoula.
