Missoula Police arrested a Helena resident on Monday.

Two men, 37 year-old Jacob Alt and 35 year-old David Holcomb were arrested on February 16 by Missoula police after being found with a large amount of illegal drugs, cash and paraphernalia.

The Montana Highway Patrol will be receiving a grant for nearly $1 million to help fight the methamphetamine crisis in the state.

Methamphetamine use, abuse and addiction has dominated the news recently with the dramatic increase in crime, arrests and prosecutions.

44 year-old Cody Lee Kendall appeared in Missoula Justice Court on Tuesday on charges of drug possession with intent to distribute when he was found with over 80 grams of methamphetamine.

32 year-old Francis Crowley, the man accused of crashing a vehicle in the woods near Lolo Hot Springs and abandoning a five month-old child buried under a pile of sticks, appeared in Missoula Justice Court on Tuesday.

23 year-old Tiffanie Rae Pierce, charged with two counts of deliberate homicide in the stabbing deaths and dismemberment of 15 year-old Marilyn Pickett and 24 year-old Jackson Wiles, is also charged with attempted deliberate homicide in a separate case.
