One of the goals at the University of Montana is to get as many high school students on campus as possible.

The University of Montana’s Maureen and Mike Mansfield Center held an online event on Wednesday entitled ‘One Nation; Saving our Democracy through Bipartisanship’ featuring two members of the ‘Problem Solvers Caucus’, Democratic Representative Josh Gottheimer of New Jersey and Republican Representative Tom Reed of New York

Hellgate High School senior Ian Knight was honored on Tuesday at City Hall for winning the Grand Prize in the U.S. State Department’s nationwide 2017 Citizen Diplomacy Challenge for a photo entitled ‘Unity’.

The University of Montana is now accepting applications for a six-day summer program for college women to become politically active and assume greater leadership roles in their organizations and communities.

Last week at the University of Montana Mansfield Center, the Missoula Police Department and other state agencies hosted a conference on human trafficking for law enforcement.

The Mansfield Center on the UM campus has opened early registration for the Asia-Montana energy conference coming up in April.

When the U.S. Congress passed the Wilderness Act in 1964, it created a legal and ethical imperative to preserve wilderness as a public good. Now, 50 years later, the Maureen and Mike Mansfield Center at the University of Montana will host a conference that celebrates the work done to fulfill that imperative and that considers the future challenges and controversies facing wilderness.
