The Missoula County Public Works Department told KGVO News this week that Maclay Bridge, the one-way only bridge that spans the Bitterroot River will be closed from Monday, October 18 through Friday, October 22.
The preferred option for a bridge over the Bitterroot River is a new structure planned at the end of South Avenue to replace the aging Maclay Bridge currently in place that connects River Pines Road to North Avenue.
This week, Missoulians will get their first glimpse at plans for the new South Avenue Bridge, which is expected to replace the old Maclay Bridge over the Bitterroot River.
