Lolo Fire

One man is dead after an officer involved shooting in Missoula early Thursday morning. The Montana Department of Justice Criminal Investigation Division now has the case.

Just after 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, Missoula Rural Fire crews were called out to a structure fire at a residence in Lolo. Assistant Fire Chief Brent Christofferson has details.

A controlled burn was swept out of control near Lolo on Wednesday and burned nearly 30 acres. Missoula Rural and several other agencies responded.

Missoula Rural Fire has provided an update to the apartment fire that occurred late Wednesday.

Two separate wildfires were discovered in the Nine Mile area west of Missoula and near Clinton, east of Missoula on Thursday.
