When Cody Marble was 17 years old, he was charged with raping a 13 year-old boy in the juvenile wing of the Missoula County Jail. He was convicted of sexual intercourse without consent in 2002, and sent to prison, all the while proclaiming his innocence.
The Missoula County Attorney’s Office kicked off the month of September with numerous assault cases. County Attorney Kirsten Pabst says she was surprised by the number of cases and by some of the weapons used.
"We had six new assault with a weapon cases, and an aggravated assault that allegedly occurred in front of a two-year-old child," Pabst said...
The Missoula County Attorney’s office was exceptionally busy this past week, June 19, in fact it may have set a county record with 24 cases in just seven days.

The Missoula City Police Department has asked the State of Montana Office of Criminal Investigations to look into the incident in which former Missoula County Attorney Fred Van Valkenburg removed items from a secure storage facility.
The Missoula County Attorney’s Office has finished totaling the number of criminal cases it dealt with in 2015, County Attorney Kirsten Pabst says the year was very similar to 2014.
