J.K. Simmons

The University of Montana will award honorary doctorates to former U.S. Forest Service Chief Jack Ward Thomas and Academy Award-winning actor J.K. Simmons during its May 14 commencement ceremonies.

University of Montana graduate J.K. Simmons received the Academy Award for best Supporting Actor Sunday night, where he honored his late parents, Don and Pat Simmons of Missoula.

All of Missoula...and Montana was cheering Sunday night, as the Academy Award winner for Best Actor in a Supporting Role was announced as University of Montana graduate J.K. Simmons.
