At a press conference in Missoula on Friday, Green Party spokesperson Danielle Breck confirmed that the Montana Republican Party has officially thrown their support for the party against the Montana Democrats who are challenging the legitimacy of petitions to place Green Party candidates on the ballot.
Questions were raised this week about Montana Green Party Senate Candidate Tim Adams, and whether or not he was actually just a republican running to split votes away from Democrat Jon Tester.
After reviewing over 5,000 signatures, the Montana Secretary of State's office has approved the Green Party to be on the ballot for the next two years.
Signatures are being verified this week at county elections offices across the state of Montana to qualify another political party for the 2018 ballot.
Green Party candidate Thomas Breck has appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court in an effort to be included in the special election ballot for the Congressional seat vacated by Ryan Zinke.
