Deer and Elk

There are thousands of happy Montana and out-of-state hunters today, as the results of the annual deer and elk tag drawings have been released by Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks.

General deer and elk hunting season begins officially at sunrise on Saturday, October 26 and closes at sunset on December 1.

An hour before sunrise on Saturday, thousands of hunters will be looking for deer and elk throughout Montana, as the general rifle season gets underway.
