Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - The Missoula County Attorney’s Office filed 19 new felony complaints this week, which is the same as last week and right around the weekly average. Lead Deputy County Attorney Brittany Williams said it was another busy week.
“We had six violent or crimes against persons, three endangerment crimes, five property crimes, four drug crimes, and one administrative crime,” Williams said. “A lot of our prosecutors have been working diligently to get some uncharged cases that we had that were out of custody as well.”

Williams said her office continues to work on the Miles Miller homicide trial.
“That case was submitted to the jury yesterday afternoon,” Williams said. “The jury deliberated until about 5:30 and then Judge Halligan decided it would be best to give them a break for the evening. The jury was allowed to return to their homes and their families after what ended up being about a 2 1/2 week trial. I'm sure they appreciated the break. Then they were summoned back before the court this morning and they will continue to deliberate throughout the day.”
Willimas said it could take hours or days before they hear a verdict. With this particular case, there is a lot to review.
“We had quite a list of witnesses and I want to say at the last at least evidence count, evidence that had been submitted in this trial, we were I think over 500 pieces of evidence exhibits,” Williams said. “It's quite extensive bringing all those bits and pieces of evidence in through various witnesses.”
The Missoula County Attorney’s Office provides a weekly crime report every Friday morning at 9:00 on Talk Back.
