I'm goin' down to South Park gonna have myself a time.
Friendly faces everywhere, humble folks without temptation.

Goin down to South Park gonna leave my woes behind.

The influential cultural phenomenon South Park has been on television since 1997. It's longevity is incredible. Somehow, with all their vulgar, offensive, and hilarious humor, Trey Parker and Matt Stone have kept South Park on the air for almost three decades. It is my favorite show of all time hands down. I'm not joking here. Keep your Office or Sopranos or The Wire because I stand in the corner of those four crude boys from South Park, Colorado.

South Park is my comfort show, and I flip it on in the background when I'm busy cleaning or working on my laptop at home. It was on at Sauerwein Manor (my apartment) when I heard "Montana" mentioned in an episode. It's such a small, obscure moment that I don't remember it, even though I've watched the show dozens of times.

The "Montana" reference happens in Season 12, Episode 6 (Episode 173 of the series) called Over Logging. The internet disappears creating mass chaos. One of the characters, Shelley Marsh, is chatting with her online boyfriend Amir, who is from the Treasure State.

And that's it. That's all the reference to Montana in that episode. In fact, the only other reference I can find in the entire series is one other line when a character talks mentions fly fishing in Montana.

In conclusion, Montana's claim to fame in South Park is more of a speckle.
