TMHT: Troll is a Doll Waiting for You at Missoula Humane Society
The circumstances that led to the shelter are heartbreaking. Who wants to step up and make her life a joy to live again?
It was another Take Me Home Tuesday at the radio stations with the Humane Society of Western Montana, sponsored by our animal-loving friends at Paul's Pancake Parlor in Missoula. Janet introduced us to "Troll." She is an adorable 7-year-old small-to-medium sized dog (about 45 pounds), as sweet as they come. She is playful, loves the car, gets along well with other dogs, as she has lived with other dogs. At 7, Troll is mature enough that her wild days are behind her, and yet has lots of great years in front of her.
TROLL'S SAD JOURNEY TO THE SHELTER
It is obvious that Troll was very well cared for and loved. But the person who provided all that loving care was diagnosed with terminal cancer, and facing a prognosis of only a few months to live. The owner decided that the best course for Troll, along with her 11-month-old companion, Piper, was to be taken to the shelter, with the belief that she would be adopted by a loving individual or family, and start the next chapter of her life in a wonderful new forever home.
SPAYED, VACCINATED AND READY TO GO
Janet says that a lot of people, especially older people, do prefer to adopt the older dogs. But regardless of your age group, if you think Troll might be just the 4-legged companion you've been looking for, then don't wait! The Humane Society of Western Montana is open Wednesdays-Sundays, 1:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at 5930 Highway 93 South, Missoula.
