Purrfect Time to Adopt: Kitten Season at Missoula Humane Society
Two of the youngest guests we've ever had on the show were wonderful ambassadors.
They came for a visit to the radios stations to remind folks that it's kitten season at the Humane Society of Western Montana, which is bittersweet in that if more animals were spayed or neutered, there wouldn't be such a huge influx of these little lovelies in need of forever homes.
But that could be your gain, as Janet introduced us to two kittens so young, they haven't even been named yet. So it was a delightful Take Me Home Tuesday, presented by our animal-loving friends at Paul's Pancake Parlor in Missoula.
These two are from a litter of four recently brought to the shelter. At 6 weeks old, they need to go into foster homes for a couple of weeks, then they, like many other new arrivals, will be ready for adoption. But if you're sold on one or both, contact the shelter and maybe you can have them put them on hold for you.
FREE VACCINATION CLINIC FRIDAY
This Friday, April 11, the Humane Society and other organizations will be participating in the Missoula Public Library's Community Connect Event. The shelter will be at the library with their vaccine bus. They will do free vaccines for all cats and dogs, as well as give away pet food and free pet beds for anyone who is in need of those items.
The Humane Society will be at the library from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Also, if you would like to donate pet food, that would be greatly appreciated.
