Even if you're day is off to a great start, pet a puppy and see if doesn't go even better!

It was another magical Take Me Home Tuesdays event here at the radio stations, presented by Paul's Pancake Parlor of Missoula. As you might expect from such a young visitor, soft, lovable and full of energy.

NEITHER LEAFY NOR GREEN

Allison from the Humane Society of Western Montana introduced us to Romaine, who may have been our tiniest guest so far on TMHT. Romaine is half of the "Salad Siblings" duo at the shelter right now, his sister Caesar being the other. They are part of a litter of pups transferred from the Havre shelter.

Allison estimates Romaine and Caesar to be about 8 weeks old, likely growing into medium-sized adults, with perhaps some bull terrier in the bloodline. Maybe yours is Romaine's new Forever Home. Contact the shelter soon to find out more.

PETS ARE FAMILY FUNDRAISER

An exciting Humane Society fundraising event is coming up on Saturday, April 22. Logjam Presents is pleased to welcome the Humane Society of Western Montana’s annual celebration and fundraiser, this year in honor of Ken Shughart. The 25th annual "Pets are Family" takes place at the Wilma Theater. The event pays tribute to former HSWM board chair and animal advocate, Ken Shughart. It brings our community together to celebrate the work and the mission of the Humane Society of Western Montana and those who make it possible.

It's an evening of heavy appetizers, signature cocktails, live and silent auctions, the beloved cats vs. dogs competition, a raffle, music and other entertainment. Doors open at 5:00, activities begin at 6:00. Advance tickets are $75 each, available at the Top Hat, also online, or by phone at 1-800-514-3849. All tickets are general admission seating on a first-come, first-served basis. All ages are welcome.
