TMHT: Give a Wink and Think ‘Moose’ at Missoula Humane Society
It is a sad tale that resulted in his arrival at the shelter, awaiting adoption.
And FYI, there is nothing wrong with his eye. He's just a winker. It was another Take Me Home Tuesday (TMHT) here at the radio stations with the Humane Society of Western Montana, sponsored by our animal-loving friends at Missoula's Paul's Pancake Parlor. Janet gave us the opportunity to meet Moose.
While Moose is a big boy, he is by no means a dog-asaurus. He is a shepherd mix who is great with everybody, and is quiet while enjoying his car rides. He does have one know mischievous habit, however. Moose has apparently figured out how to open certain drawers and doors! But hey, that just means he's smart, right?
Moose is 5 years old, neutered and vaccinated and waiting for his next forever home. His previous owner suffers from a degenerative disease and had to be placed in an assisted living facility and thus could not keep Moose. It doesn't take long to recognize that this boy has been well-loved all his life.
LOW COST OR NO COST VACCINATIONS AT THE SHELTER
The Humane Society of Western Montana is excited to announce weekly vaccination clinics right there at the shelter at 5930 US Highway 93 South, Missoula. The clinics are so popular that weekly vaccinations are by appointment. You can get details on how to schedule you appointment on this page of the Humane Society's website. Spay and neuter clinics are also offered. Get more details about those, too.
While costs are little or nothing, it is through your generosity that the shelter is able to provide these vital services. Please keep that in mind and be as generous as you can during your visit.
It was great to meet you, Moose. We know you will be a big hit with visitors to the shelter!
