You'll be troubled to find a better fanbase than the Montana Grizzlies. The fans dawned in maroon and silver show up again, and again, and again, year after year after year. In fact, earlier this season Griz nation showed up for their 16th consecutive sellout of Washington-Grizzly Stadium dating back to last season.

The 16 consecutive shutouts are in the middle of back-to-back record-breaking season ticket sales, so you could say Griz fans show up. Now, it's time to add another feather in Griz fans' cap. HERO Sports released the 2024 average home attendance numbers across the FCS landscape. For the second consecutive year, Montana ranks #2 in the country, averaging 25,845 fans a year or 102.49% of their stadium's capacity. The only school Montana trailed was Jackson State averaging 27,213 people, but their capacity is also much higher at 60,492 people.

I've said it before, and I'll most definitely say it again. Griz fans are an amazingly unique, special group that stacks up against the best fans in any sport - professional or college.

Montana State checked in number three with 21,889 and 123.19% of Bobcat Stadium's capacity.

This weekend the Montana Grizzlies host the Tennessee State TIgers in an opening round matchup in the FCS Playoffs. It's Thanksgiving weekend which typically hurts attendance, but the University is paying for students' tickets.
