Grizzly Sports Hall of Fame Inducts NFL Product, A Coaching Legend and Two Successful Basketball Teams
The Grizzly Sports Hall of Fame class of 2025 was announced Monday morning.
This year's class features four individuals/teams and two recipients of their lifetime service to the University of Montana.
Without further ado, here are the Griz legends who will be immortalized in the Montana pantheon.
Chase Reynolds (2006-2009)
Reynolds ended his Grizzly career ranked 1st in rushing touchdowns (52) and 2nd in career rushing yards (4,067), trailing only Yohance Humphery.
After a dynamite college career at Montana, Reynolds went on to play 4 years in the NFL with the St. Louis Rams
Mike Montgomery (1978-1986)
Former Griz Men's Basketball Head Coach Mike Montgomery still ranks 4th on the all-time wins list with 155 victories.
Between 1983 and 1986, Montgomery's Grizzlies racked up 4 straight 20-win seasons with multiple NIT berths.
Montgomery coached the Stanford Cardinal to 12 NCAA Tournament appearances in 16 years and the Cal Golden Bears to four NCAA Tournaments in 6 seasons.

2025 Grizzly Lifetime Honors Co-Recipients: Mick Holien & Tom Stage
This one hits a little different for me. To see a couple of much-deserved play-by-play broadcasters get their flowers puts a smile on my face.
Mick Holien was the voice of the Griz for 30+ years. He called over 1000 Griz football and basketball games before passing away in 2020.
Tom Stage was the Voice of the Lady Griz for 25 years, but also entwined himself with the Missoula community as a grade school teacher for 30+ years.
Each broadcaster will receive the Grizzly Lifetime Honors award.
Congrats to all of this year's recipients.
