Jeff Ament’s “In The Hoop” Basketball Donation Event Returns! Here’s How You Can Help

The weather isn't the greatest, but all there is for 3-4 weeks is March Madness. First the conference tournaments and then the field of 64 men's & women's college basketball tournaments. It's glorious.

It's even better when Jeff Ament's charity group Jeff Ament's Army puts on its Jeff Ament Army In The Hoop Basketball Donation Event.

Calling all #JAARecruits! Every March since 2012, JAA has held the #JAAInTheHoop Basketball Donation Event! This year's goal is #62for62 balls!

Ament's Army is looking for 62 basketballs and any other athletic gear. On Instagram, Ament said you can donate a basketball anywhere in the world as long as it's to a local organization.

I love this.

In the aforementioned Instagram post, Ament shows some pictures from the MTV Rock and Jock basketball game back in 1993. Ament got to play a game with a young Leonardo DiCaprio, Reggie Miller, Clifford Robinson and others.

They even had Jon Stewart on the call. I fell down a rabbit hole and found a highlight package of the game.
