Let’s face it, “Karen” has had a long, meme-worthy reign as the name for anyone throwing a public tantrum over manager availability or incorrect Starbucks orders. But here in Montana, it’s time we retire Karen and crown a new titleholder who embodies our unique Montana energy. Enter: Beth.

If you’re a fan of Yellowstone, you already know why Beth Dutton is the perfect choice. She’s the poster child for unapologetic chaos. Smart, ruthless, and always just a few drinks away from turning brunch into a full-contact sport. Picture this: a Beth loses her cool at the local bar because someone dared to touch her cowboy hat or, worse, order a Coors Light instead of a local IPA.

A Karen might demand to speak to the manager. A Beth? She’s skipping straight to ordering a round of tequila shots for herself, and then loudly declaring the jukebox her personal playlist.

A video recently surfaced online from wouldyoukindly saying that "Jessica" may emerge as a replacement for "Karen."

Montana has its own wild card. A Jessica might snatch your parking spot, but a Beth will park her horse there just to make a point.

Montana “Beths” aren’t just limited to barstools, though. They’ve been spotted at county fairs, rodeos, and even ski slopes, where they might let loose a war cry after too many shots of "potato water."

So why the change? Karen just doesn’t capture the essence of our rugged state. Montana’s wild spirit deserves an equally untamed name, and Beth nails it. From Missoula to Billings, if you witness someone smashing wine glasses at a winery or challenging a cowboy to a line-dancing duel, chances are you’ve met your Beth.

So, Montana, let’s make it official: Raise a toast to the Beths. May they always keep our small towns spicy, our local gossip juicy, and our bars… well, still standing.
