If you had to pick an all-American food, what would it be? Think about it. What would people in other countries consider "American food?" Clearly, the first thing that comes to mind is burgers and hot dogs. But do those REALLY represent proper American cuisine? If I wanted to impress someone from another country with an authentic American meal, I would take them to the nearest barbecue restaurant. THAT is what I call a REAL American meal.

We have been perfecting an American style of smoking meats for hundreds of years. With varying different sauces and preparation styles from different regions of the country. Our friend Brett Schreyer has been perfecting his BBQ skills for decades. Developing his craft into a business known as "Up N Smokin." Brett originally launched a BBQ joint in Phillipsburg, before moving his operation to Stevensville in 2020. Up N Smokin also operates a large food truck and catering business on top of the restaurant.

Just recently Up N Smokin announced that they will be closing their doors in Stevensville. But they still plan on dishing out yummy BBQ in the Bitterroot.

According to the announcement on social media

The Rumors are true!!! We will be closing the Stevensville location and relocating to Hamilton at the Ravalli fun center. We have decided to focus on our catering and vending and special events across Montana.

When we're not catering and vending will we be available for take out or eating while you're enjoying the fun center.
This news comes as many other eateries in Missoula and surrounding areas announce they are closing. Just this week, the always-popular Burns Street Bistro announced that they will be closing soon, but also continuing to run their catering service.
