The 12th Annual Honoring Our Youth Pow Wow will be held this Friday and Saturday at Big Sky High School.

Native American Community Specialist for Missoula School District One Gisele Forest says the event is centered around traditional Grand Entries at 7 p.m. Friday, and 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday, and celebrates Native American heritage and culture.

The Pow Wow includes drumming and dancing led by local students, arts and crafts booths and food booths.

Forest says the Pow Wow is part of the Native American Education For All initiative included in the Montana Constitution. It's free and open to natives and non-natives alike. The event will be held at Big Sky High School Friday at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 1 and 7 p.m.
