A semi-truck driver from California is in the Missoula County jail after being charged with three felony counts of criminal endangerment. Darrell Wayne Shepherd allegedly drove west in the eastbound lanes of I-90 on Monday evening, spilling diesel fuel and running at least three people off the road. I spoke with the arresting officer, Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Andrew Novak, about the incident. That interview is attached.

Novak says a citizen driving a pickup truck, William Stewart, assisted in the capture of Shepherd, placing his vehicle in the path of the semi to help stop it from continuing the wrong way down the Interstate. Shepherd was placed in the Missoula County jail on $150,000 bail.
