Woman Killed By Train Near Arlee

A 57-year-old woman has died after being struck by a train in western Montana.

The Missoula County Sheriff's Office says the incident occurred about 8:35 a.m. Thursday 3 miles south of Arlee, just south of the Lake County line.

Arlee is about 20 miles north of Missoula on U.S. Highway 93, which the Missoulian reports closely parallels Montana Rail Link tracks at the point of the collision.

The woman's name was not immediately released.
