Woman Found Deceased Outside St. Patrick Hospital Identified

The 53 year-old transient woman who was found dead early Saturday morning on a patio outside St. Patrick Hospital has been identified.

Missoula County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Brenda Bassett said the woman traveled to Missoula from Seattle.

"The Missoula County Coroner has identified the woman as Ruth Castro from Seattle, Washington," Bassett said. "The autopsy was completed late Monday afternoon. The cause of death is pending while the manner of death is as yet undetermined. The Missoula Police department is continuing its investigation."

Anyone with information on Castro's death is asked to contact the lead investigator on the case, Detective Guy Baker at 396-3217.
