BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) — Officials in Gallatin County say a woman faces charges of attempted deliberate homicide and attempted arson after a Bozeman-area man was shot in the head and chest.

Kathleen McDunn called 911 at about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday to report that Diana Arnold shot her husband at their house.

Both Arnold and Henry McDunn were taken to the hospital. Arnold was injured while Henry McDunn held her down until officers arrived. Arnold is in the county's custody.

Gootkin said officers found a .22-caliber pistol and evidence to support the attempted arson charge. Arnold also faces an aggravated burglary charge after officers found a screen had been cut and a ladder used to break into the house.

Investigators said the McDunns and Arnold have been involved in an ongoing civil lawsuit.
