Woman Dead After Shooting in Kalispell

MISSOULA, Mont. - A woman is dead after a shooting in Kalispell. Shots were fired Friday at a home on Valley View Drive in Kalispell.

The woman was reportedly shot in the head and a man was shot in the abdomen.

Flathead County Sheriff Chuck Curry told NBC Montana the woman died at the hospital. The man is in stable condition and waiting to go into surgery.

The sheriff's department says the shooting is not believed to be accidental. No other people were believed to be involved and the sheriff says there is no threat to the public.

Deputies are on scene right now.
