Missoula police responded early Wednesday, May 22, at the Noon's Convenience Store at 39th and Russell for a strong-armed robbery.

Sgt. Jake Rosling said one woman allegedly attacked another woman and stole her purse and cell phone. She was apprehended a few blocks away from the store. The suspect, identified through the Missoula County Jail roster as Krista Marie Healey, 27, has been booked into the jail on $50,000 bond.

Rosling said the victim sustained injuries from the beating, but refused medical treatment.

"She was evaluated by medical personnel," Rosling said. "She had heavy swelling to the face and there was plenty of blood, but, she refused to be transported to St. Patrick Hospital for treatment. She was given a ride home by officers."

Rosling said a strong-armed robbery is still a felony, though no weapons are used in the crime.
