Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks Commissioners heard over three hours of public comment Thursday morning in Helena before making their decisions about the upcoming wolf hunting seasons. Education and Public Affairs spokesman Ron Aasheim says there will no numeric quotas set for wolves for the upcoming season, and that sportsmen will be able to use both rifle and traps, but no snares.

The back country archery season will open on September 1st, with the general rifle season opening on October 15th and running through February 28th. Aasheim praised the Commission for carefully weighing all the comments both pro and con before making their decision.
