Where Are Griz Picked to Finish in Big Sky Conference?

The annual Big Sky Conference Football Kickoff Event is underway in Park City, Utah.

In the annual preseason polls released Tuesday, the Montana Grizzlies are picked to finish second in both the coaches and media polls. This year's favorite: Northern Arizona. The Griz will meet the Lumberjacks in Flagstaff October 22.

As you can see by the number of votes, it was a very tight competition. NAU got 8 first place votes to Montana's 7 in the media poll, while they were a far more overwhelming first-place choice in the coaches poll.

Of course, this kind of stuff is mainly just fun for the fans to see where their teams stack up in the overall conference race. For the Griz, expectations are always going to be really high no matter where they are picked. So, let's compare notes and start to get fired up for Labor Day Weekend, Griz Nation!  DB
