Western Montana will continue to experience very hot, very dry conditions throughout the week and even through the weekend. Forecaster Mike Johnson with the National Weather Service  says the hot dry weather, combined with a chance of thunderstorms have created a fire weather alert for the next few days.

Johnson says temperatures will continue to be between 95 and 100 degrees through the week, with no relief in sight until early next week. Authorities encourage parents to monitor their children during the hot weather, and anyone working outside to keep themselves well-hydrated.
