Upper Miller Creek Road To Be Closed Again

Since paving was partially completed on the Upper Miller Creek Road project, residents have abandoned the detour that took them down through Lower Miller Creek and have been using the newly paved road instead.

Workers on the project are asking drivers to stop using the Upper Miller Creek Road from the roundabout to St. Michael Drive from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday so that they can safely continue curbing and other construction work. One worker stated that with so many vehicles using the unfinished road, work on other projects was being delayed.

They ask that only residents in the actual construction area use the Upper Miller Creek Road, and that all others continue using the Lower Miller Creek detour.

An official with the County Department of Public Works was unavailable for comment on Thursday.
