Missoula County Sheriff's Department spokesman Jason Johnson says the County Coroner's Office has released the names of the two victims in Sunday morning's two-vehicle head-on crash just outside the Clinton exit on I-90. Johnson says the driver of the pickup truck was identified as 33 year-old Daniel Martin of Missoula. The 8 year-old boy that was killed was identified as Jacob Gamble of Seattle, Washington. There are unofficial reports that Martin may have stolen the truck from the Rock Creek Lodge, where the annual Testicle Festival was underway.

Johnson says alcohol is considered a factor in the crash. Martin was driving the wrong way down I-90 when his truck collided with the red Honda containing the Gamble family. The 37 year-old man driving the Honda was flown to Seattle for treatment, while the 29 year-old mother and another 5 year-old boy were taken to St. Patrick Hospital where at last report they were in stable condition. Johnson says the Sheriff's Department did have special patrols in the area of Rock Creek Lodge during the festival, but because the accidentb took place at 4:30 in the morning, there were no deputies in the area at the time. Johnson says the Highway Patrol is continuing its investigation.
