The house has approved legislation supporters say would give Montana the authority to use Eminent Domain, to take back federal land within its borders. The land could be utilized without federal interference for numerous uses. Federal land use permits used to be issued for such things as grazing and mining. Those opportunities have come to a virtual stand still with law suits being levied by the environmental community. Representative Jonathon Mcniven says he's tired of the federal government locking up Montana land, and resources.
