UM’s McSurdy, Sambrano Named Players Of The Week

The Big Sky Conference announced its Football Players of the Week today for games played on Saturday, Sept. 10th.

University of Montana senior middle linebacker Caleb McSurdy is the league's Defensive POTW, while senior return man Jabin Sambrano was named the Special Teams POTW.

Montana State running back Cody Kirk, a Frenchtown native, was selected as the Offensive POTW.

McSurdy tied his career high with 17 tackles, and also forced a fumble. Sambrano returned the opening kickoff 96 yards for a touchdown, the fifth longest in school history.

Sophomore Jordy Johnson was also nominated for the offensive award.
