UM’s Cherry Named Big Sky Player Of The Week

Montana's Will Cherry has been selected as the Big Sky Conference men's basketball player of the week.

Cherry averaged 18.5 points, five rebounds and 4½ assists in victories over Portland State and Eastern Washington last week.

Cherry, a 6-foot-1 guard, scored 22 points as the Grizzlies defeated Eastern Washington on Friday. Most of his points came in the second half, as Montana rallied from a halftime deficit.

He also scored 15 points against Portland State last Wednesday.
