Processing mineral ore into the products needed for maintaining and advancing our way of life has often also produced waste streams with adverse effects on the natural and human environment.  No one knows more about that than the people of Montana.

In today's program, Dr. Ed Rosenberg describes how this technology could be used to clean abandoned mine sites across the state.  It also has application for producing new ore, harvesting metals in a more environmentally friendly way.
