Friday at noon, UM President Royce Engstrom announced the University has officially postponed indefinitely the Bio-Mass Boiler project planned to heat campus buildings. Dr. Engstrom outlined the three main reasons for that decisoon at a news conference on the UM Campus. He also confirmed the future home of the College of Technology to be the present location of the UM Golf Course. That announcement in it's entirety is attached. Dr. Engstrom confirmed that over $500,000 was spent in planning the Bio-Mass Project. He said the University considers the money as a good investment in promoting the University's effort to reduce it's 'carbon footprint'.
