A University of Montana graduate now practicing law in Montrose, Colo., is the next president of the Colorado Bar Association.

David L. Masters starts his one-year term on July 1. He says he plans to focus on mentoring for new lawyers and further integrating technology into the practice of law.

Masters received his law degree from the University of Montana in 1986.

The voluntary Colorado Bar Association has 17,962 members, which represents nearly three-quarters of all attorneys in the state.
