MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) — University of Montana President Royce Engstrom says a new athletic director will be in place by the fall semester.

Engstrom made the comment to members of the National Advisory Board for Grizzly Athletics, who met Friday and Saturday in Missoula.

The school fired football coach Robin Pflugrad and athletic director Jim O'Day on March 29, adding more uncertainty to a program already dealing with sexual assault allegations against football players.

The school has not released an official reason for the firings.

Engstrom says the new athletic director will be part of a 15-member cabinet that meets with him weekly.
