The University of Montana's Entrepreneurship Club, in partnership with UM’s Blackstone Launchpad and the Associated Students of UM, recently launched a first-of-its-kind program in Missoula. Entrepreneurship Club President Austin Walker said “The Bear Den” project is focused on bringing entrepreneurs and idea leaders into several three-person residential suites to live together and collaborate on business ideas.

"It's a project designed based off of what they've currently been doing in San Francisco and other major cities," Walker said. "Entrepreneurs are living together in one building and are working  for each other and with each other to build new businesses that they are all working on."

Walker said housing is available fall 2014 and is located in the University Villages, near the UM Golf Course. The apartments are newer than most of the other student housing and are priced affordably in comparison to other Missoula options.

"There are no major requirements," Walker said. "Right now, we are working on deciding how many credits it's going to be worth, but you will receive college credit through this program.

The club currently is seeking interested applicants to participate in the Bear Den project. Interested participants are encouraged to apply by April 23 by emailing a description of their skill sets or business ideas to eclub.um@gmail.com.
