Two suspects are in the Missoula County Jail on charges of felony aggravated assault, and both are accused of trying to strangle their partners.

Irvin Ingraham, 24, was arrested on December 23 at a local motel, after allegedly trying to strangle his girlfriend. According to court documents, police had to break down the motel roon door, where they arrested Ingraham in the act of attacking the woman.

The other suspect, Barak Longnecker, 33, was arrested on Christmas Eve, Court documents state that Longnecker attempted to strangle his newly-divorced wife in front of their three daughters, and only stopped when the three children began crying and begged him to stop.

Longnecker was arrested on a $50,000 warrant.

Both men appeared in Missoula Justice Court via video from the county jail on December 24 and were remanded back to the facility on bond.
