On Tuesday, September 24, the Missoula County Elections Office will host a special event at the county courthouse to commemorate National Voter Registration Day.

Chief Deputy Elections Officer Rebecca Connors said on Monday, September 23, that the theme this year is off-year elections.

"Off-year elections don't get as much attention as the even-year elections, so we're trying to garner some attention with an event at the courthouse," Connors said. "We've got some volunteers to help us register individuals to vote on Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. We'll have voter registration right when you walk in the first floor of the courthouse. We'll have the actual voter database available, so we can verify your information, or look up a mailing address, all in one place."

Connors did not have any numerical goals in mind for registering voters on Tuesday, but simply wants to create awareness that voter registration would be available at the courthouse on Tuesday.
