He's been a real estate mogul, a tabloid fixture and a reality TV star.

And now Donald Trump wants to be New York's governor. Maybe.

Trump has met with state Republican Party leaders and is slated to address the Erie County GOP on Friday in Buffalo. He has also pledged to spend tens of millions of his fortune to unseat incumbent Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

But Trump is no stranger to flirting with running for office without ever actually doing so, having previously decided against following through on runs for governor and president.

He has stopped short of committing to a candidacy and told The Associated Press on Tuesday that he is in no rush to make up his mind.

He says he'll run only if state Republicans unify behind him.
