A traffic stop on Interstate 90 in south-central Montana led to the discovery of 115 pounds of marijuana and the arrests of two California residents.

The Stillwater County News reports 37-year-old Rick Voight and 41-year-old Dawn Voight pleaded not guilty Thursday in District Court to criminal possession of dangerous drugs with intent to distribute.

A Montana Highway Patrol trooper stopped their rental car for speeding on Tuesday morning. He says the Voights gave him conflicting stories about where they came from and their travel plans and they appeared nervous. Court records say the trooper called for the Stillwater County sheriff's K-9 deputy. The dog alerted on the vehicle.

Officers seized vacuum-packed bundles containing 115 pounds of marijuana with an estimated value of over $550,000.
