“Through With Chew” Week Underway in Missoula [AUDIO]

This week, February 17-23 has been proclaimed “Through With Chew Week” by the Missoula City County Health Department.
Senior Community Health Specialist Keila Warren reminds us that smokeless tobacco is not a safe alternative to cigarettes, as some young people believe. She says smokeless tobacco is even more addictive because it contains a higher concentration of nicotine than cigarettes.
Warren says there are options to help tobacco users to quit and the health department hopes users will allow this week to be a starting point to become tobacco-free.
